122 - Intro to Embroidery with Jenny Hart

Learn the basics of embroidery (and beyond) with Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching! Even if you've never held a needle and thread, you will leave this class wanting to embroider everything. Jenny will intro and discuss the tools for embroidery, teach five embroidery stitches (including the dreaded French Knot) and demonstrate various methods for pattern-making, special tips, decorative techniques, and more! See examples of her own work for inspiration and feel free to bring your own projects for guidance to discuss in the third hour. This is a class that will begin with the very basics, but get you stitching right away as you move from technique to technique. Start stitching on a "doodle cloth" for practice, and then move onto stitching up a tea towel for you to take home and enjoy. Embroidery only looks hard, but it is inexpensive, relaxing and the results... well, there's a reason everyone loves the look of embroidery!
